In addition to providing Steelcase’s 11,000 internal employees with easy and secure web single sign-on (SSO) to dozens of cloud applications like Jive, Oracle CRM OnDemand, Service-Now, GoogleApps, Concur and Basecamp, OneLogin is also providing service to its 24,000 customer and partner community via OneLogin for External Users. The external users sign into a Steelcase-branded login page and get access to multiple applications that make up Steelcase’s online presence. New partners are automatically provisioned in the Jive Partner Portal when users first sign in using SAML-based Just-In-Time Provisioning. Not only this, but adopting new cloud services took Steelcase days, weeks and even months to attain proper integration and authentication. With OneLogin, all of this changed.

Steelcase’s users are stored in four Active Directory instances that are kept synchronized with OneLogin in real-time. The four directories contain US employees, EMEA employees, APAC employees and external users. Using OneLogin for all types of users makes it easier for Steelcase to control access to cloud applications and to allow users with different roles to access the same accounts.
Steelcase used OneLogin’s open-source SAML Toolkits and guidance to SAML-enable their internal web applications. Steelcase’s SAML-based applications work perfectly with OneLogin’s Zero-Config Active Directory Connector, which makes life easy for users in several ways, including allowing users to sign into applications with their Windows credentials, deep linking, password elimination and automatically renewing sessions. Best of all, SAML is fast. One browser redirect is all it takes to securely sign a user into an application.
